My suggestion is to use a higher AUH ball setting and cautiously do some test turns. The pin box arm will make contact with your bed before the RV cap approaches your cab. Your narrow ram box will be an issue for you when making tight turns. I didn't install a Retrax cover on my new Ram. Again another Retrax bed rail crimp from the pin box arm while turning hard L out of a campsite on uneven ground. No problems until I needed to flip a U-turn on slightly uneven paved road, where the RV pin box arm crimped the Retrax bed rail. The issue was with the bed rail tracks which extended into & along the bed about 2" on each side. A couple of years ago, Chrysler Group established the Ram brand, under which it sells the former Dodge lineup of pickup trucks and commercial vehicles. That said, I did have 2 incidents with my previous '07 Ram (long box) that had a Retrax aluminum bed cover. Several trips to CO, Yellowstone & Glacier NP's on uneven roads. new 20 listings usually offer backup camera, bluetooth, and tow hitch. I currently tow with ' SRW short box with no cab clearance issues so far. Auto Level Rear Air Suspension, Rambox Cargo Management System, Power Sunroof, Power Deployable Running Boards, Wheels: 20' X 8.0' Black Diamond Cut. The receiver cup on the RV is mounted forward of the hitch pin (see pic). I have a Grand Design 295RL and it has the turning point hitch (turns at the trailer). Now e trailer is saying no hitch manufactures will allow them to say that it can be done. Install went pretty smooth with two people and I would recommend it to anyone needing a hitch.BGG, I use the AUH lowest ball setting on the hitch to achieve a level towing profile on my 303RLS. Before I bought my 20 with Rambox, I asked the Ram Dealer and the 5th Wheel dealer if I could tow with the Rambox and they said yes. Guessing a gooseneck would be fine and maybe the Anderson 3220. I know in the past you couldn’t build a 2500 with rambox and 5th prep package but the factory 5th prep has pucks that wouldn’t work with rambox. Overall this hitch works and functions great. I was asked by a buddy who swears the 5th wheel hitch would fit in my Ram Box as the distance between the wheel hubs is. Makes life a lot easier until you get the bolt ls in. Definitely recommend putting a bolt through receiver holes and using a strap to hold up center plate through hole in bed after you get it into place. With a few extra measurements you can just cut a hole in both for handle to slide through and give it a much cleaner look. In the video it showed where he cut a large u out of the inner fender to clear the pull handle and notched the bed that looked kind of sloppy. However, the heads were larger than the pass through in the frame rails so it took quite a bit of extra time and ingenuity to get those fished through there with the plates.(The carriage bolts survived shipping so they were what came with the kit). The two large carriage bolts that go in the rear cross member are a little deceiving because the video makes it seem like they slip right in. Ive read posts discussing the aftermarket installation of 5th wheel hitches, but didnt see anything talking about folks who have actually SUCCESSFULLY used a gooseneck with ramboxes. The paper directions were not totally clear on several thing so we resorted to the video which helped a lot. I Just ordered a 2500 Mega with 6.4 and ramboxes. So I would have to give the packaging and shipping one star because I had to go spend an extra $75 on grade 8 hardware. When I received the package 1/2 the hardware was missing because the inner box it was in was all broke apart and the outer box was not sealed up. Ordered this after deciding to go with it over a B&W kit due to me not using it a whole lot and the price difference.
